Wallpaper: Ayanami Rei at the pool!
Summer is almost here and to celebrate I fix an Ayanami scan and made a wallpaper out of it.
The scan was from an anime magazine, full of japanese text. I Removed the text surrounding her, redraw her hand and leg, redraw the entire pool and added some texture to it, and finally shrinked to wallpaper 1600 x 1200 resolution.

My boss is out of the country until Friday so I took my spare time and made this wallpaper. Original scan is from Ayanami Club 05, posted on MT 2 years ago. I found this gem and got inspired. I decided to have her on my desktop so I took the time to do it.
Figures 2008: Coming soon, I hope!
I have preorder two of the three figures you see in the photo. Still waiting for Saber because she does not have a company that can mass produce her yet.
This figures were exposed at WonderFest and they look pretty nice. For your information, the figures are:
- Saber from Fate/Stay Night (Cobra Kai) / Not yet available for sale
- Uesugi Kenshin from Sengoku Rance (Griffon’s) / August 2008
- Ekidona or Echidna from Queen´s Blade (Griffon´s) / Late May-July 2008
The price for the whole bunch sure will break my wallet and send it into oblivion but the time lapse for each release will give me enough time to save for them or cancel the order, depending on my finance status. Hope to do a review once I receive them so stay tuned.
Evangelion: Life size scale Rei Ayanami
I was looking on Auctions websites to see anything interesting and found that someone is selling a full 1:1 scale life size Ayanami Rei figure. Retail price is about 380,000 yens (around 4,000 USD)!!…You can buy lots of Ayanami`s smaller figures with that money, or travel to Japan twice a year. Official website is here. If I had the money, I will probably buy and put her at the door to greet people if I had an anime store, or probably will take her to anime conventions…but!…I dont have that amount of money…for now.
