According to FirstShowing.net, there is a rumor that Keanu Reeves is going to play the role of Spike Siegel in the upcoming live action movie of Cowboy Bebop. There is no director or writer for the story yet, but it seems the producers approached “Neo” for the role.
There is no “official” announcement yet, but according to the source, the movie is planned for a 2010 release and it could have a big budget attached to it since Keanu Reeves probably will play the title role. Now I hope they cast good actors for the rest of the cast of this movie, especially Faye Valentine. Who could play that role? Only time will tell. Do you have any actor / actress for the rest of the cast?

There are some fans doing “casting calls” for the movie. Funny stuff.

Climbing Mt. Fuji 4 TIMES in 24 HOURS!
In 2007, two climbers (Jeff De Groot and Doug Szwarc) climbed Mt. Fuji 3 times in one day in order to raise money for the Shunkou Gakuen Orphanage. The trip spanned 23 hours and 38 minutes while raising nearly $4500 for the orphanage. The money was used to purchase the orphanage 8 bikes, an industrial washing machine, a DVD projector system, as well as over 20 DVDs for the kids.
This year there will be four climbers — Rob Lovern, Doug Szwarc, Luke Nelson, and Mike Raney. They will be starting from the 5th station (2305 meters) of Mt. Fuji, making 4 full round trips to the summit (3776 meters) and back. This will equate to climbing 5884 meters (19,304 feet) up and subsequently 5884 meters down (i.e. effectively climbing up and then down a 5884 meter mountain in one day). This is equivalent to climbing up and down Mt. Kilimanjaro in one day, or 10,000 feet short of climbing Mt. Everest in one day.
Being short of 24 hours by only 22 minutes makes this challenge seem if not impossible, improbable at the very least. They have done all the calculations and it is clear to them that this goal is obtainable, but it will not be easy. Their first climb last year (consisting of a slow jog) took them under 4 hours up and down the mountain, allowing them to take it “easy” on the rest of the climbs. They also used this extra time to take sizeable breaks after each climb and also allowed to wait at the top for sunrise in the morning. The short timeline this year will not afford the opportunity to take these breaks.
They say that in a lifetime, one climb to Mt. Fuji is enough, and two are foolish. This guys are going to climb it four times in 24 hours for charity…I think their motives are good and the challenge sounds fun. It begins on September 1st, 2008. I wish at least I could see Mt. Fuji…
Not the end of it: School Rumble Z confirmed
Chapter 283 of School Rumble arrived and We thought it was the end…Well, apparently, it is not because it is confirmed that SCHOOL RUMBLE Z will appear on August 20th in the Magazine Special. You can see the scan of the magazine where School Rumble is published.
We dont know how many chapters will be published, or is it only a one shot episode. It will be 16 pages long apparently. Time will tell…It is sort of bittersweet, because the alledgedly last episode was pretty bad, but then, We will see more of SR. Hope they wrap things up and hope We dont see a SCHOOL RUMBLE GT.
I support ERI or YAKUMO if you ask me by the way. The OVA was horrible as well. There were funny parts but the lame thing is that they skipped many manga volumes and go straight to the last ones. The animation was so and so and they even placed the first season OP and ED songs with some new scenes only.
I just hope the rest of the OVA wrap things up because SR fans deserve more than this.
Review: Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus for the PSP.
I managed to grab this game and played it. It is a fun game, but there are many changes since I played Guilty Gear xx RELOADED.
For instance, the OP changed. I really liked the Midnight Carnival OP because it was animated almost entirely. The OP for this one is great but not good enough for the previous OP.
