Street Fighter: The legend of Chun-Li Movie Poster

I read recently some news about the NEW Street Fighter Live Action movie and this time it is not centered on Ryu or Ken, but on CHUN-LI! I loved the ANIMATED MOVIE and the ALPHA MOVIE of Street Fighter and definitely I hated the FIASCO of the First Live Action movie. Why in God´s name they want to do this now? Only they know. My only and probably theory is that they want to do this movie the right way and fix all the mistakes they did in the past. I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li is scheduled for a February 2009 release and the official website is online…(Sort of) and the movie poster is available as well. Kristin Kreuk (Lana Lang from SMALLVILLE) is doing the role. I must admit Chun-Li looks hot in the poster, but that seems to be the only positive note.

I just hope this movie and the “other” do some justice to their anime counterparts. I remembered watching a Dragon Ball Live Action Movie made in China and the Van Damme live action movie of Street Fighter and both ruined my fond memories for their anime counterparts. I just hope they DO IT THIS TIME the RIGHT WAY!

I think the upcoming Street Fighter IV anime series shall help me forget only if this movie becomes a nightmare of epic proportions. Probably I will watch it just because it is “Chun-Li & Kristin Kreuk” after all
