Google thinks websites are EVIL!
Google Search Engine had a real serious problem! I think it was global because I asked several friends on different computers and everyone told me the same thing….For some time Google was evil!

Touch me and I may harm you!
Apparently the problem happened in Google´s Search Engine. When I clicked any of the results, another different page appeared telling me that the site I clicked was dangerous and could nuke harm my computer!

This is what many people, including me, with horror and laughs saw!
Even Google can “harm” your computer! (Click image to witness History!!)
Everything I searched, from any Anime page to the FBI, CNN, GOOGLE….Virtually any random site was “dangerous!”…Now, someone in Google Headquarters made a terrible mistake or Google was hacked. Have this happened to you? I think this is really the first time I saw Google having this kind of mess.
UPDATE: Google´s explanation of what really happened…a “simple” mistake!!
“This site may harm your computer” on every search result?!?!
If you did a Google search between 6:30 a.m. PST and 7:25 a.m. PST this morning, you likely saw that the message “This site may harm your computer” accompanied each and every search result. This was clearly an error, and we are very sorry for the inconvenience caused to our users.
What happened? Very simply, human error. Google flags search results with the message “This site may harm your computer” if the site is known to install malicious software in the background or otherwise surreptitiously. We do this to protect our users against visiting sites that could harm their computers. We work with a non-profit called StopBadware.org to get our list of URLs. StopBadware carefully researches each consumer complaint to decide fairly whether that URL belongs on the list. Since each case needs to be individually researched, this list is maintained by humans, not algorithms.
We periodically receive updates to that list and received one such update to release on the site this morning. Unfortunately (and here’s the human error), the URL of ‘/’ was mistakenly checked in as a value to the file and ‘/’ expands to all URLs. Fortunately, our on-call site reliability team found the problem quickly and reverted the file. Since we push these updates in a staggered and rolling fashion, the errors began appearing between 6:27 a.m. and 6:40 a.m. and began disappearing between 7:10 and 7:25 a.m., so the duration of the problem for any particular user was approximately 40 minutes.
Thanks to our team for their quick work in finding this. And again, our apologies to any of you who were inconvenienced this morning, and to site owners whose pages were incorrectly labelled. We will carefully investigate this incident and put more robust file checks in place to prevent it from happening again.
Thanks for your understanding.

Evangelion Fashion: Wear an EVA armor?!

When you think about a franchise trying to milk their fans with all kind of merchandising, one of the first things that many can think is Evangelion. Now, They are approaching the fashion trend by launching a new lineup that includes one piece dresses that looks like the EVAS!

The Evangelion anime producers have collaborated with Mobile Collection to offer an Evangelion fashion line that includes one-piece dresses (pictured top) inspired by the EVA-01, EVA-00, and EVA-02 weapons. (Mobile Collection is a fashion retail site for shopping by mobile phone.) Designed with the input of fashion model Hoshi Aya, each of the nylon outfits can double as a vest of a larger ensemble, or as a one-piece dress to be worn by itself.
The dress is part of a larger collection for JSG and other shops aimed at the teenagers who frequent the trendy Tokyo shopping district of Shibuya. The other pieces in the collection include a reversible NERV Neko Mimi Parka in pink or purple (pictured at right), a more conventional SEELE parka in light gray or black, and a Pen-Pen parka in grey, navy blue, or ivory. There are also various T-shirts with Rei, Asuka, NERV, and other iconic images from the anime. Half of the items are available at the online Evangelion Shop in Japan, although the rest (including the one-piece dresses) will not be ready until next month or later.

I can´t imagine the street full of people wearing EVA suits, except probably in Akihabara. This people are really experts in milking our wallets in the most unimaginable ways!

Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou Ep.4

Brief Summary: Natsume takes care of an abandoned egg. It is an egg of a Tatsumi, a rare type of youkai that lays its eggs in others nests. It hatches and Natsume calls it “Tama”. Natsume continues to take care of the youkai while protecting it from a rat youkai who wants to make it into a meal for his master.

Nyanko-sensei wouldn’t make a very good father or even a great egg warmer.

In the manga Sasada moved away after meeting with the youkai in the old school building. However she appears to be a continuing main character. I wonder what the director is planning to do with her…

Sewing is one of the last things I would have expected Natsume to be good at.

The Tatsumi young imitate the look of its host parents, and when it grows up it regains its original form.

I actually wished the youkai would’ve copied Nyanko-sensei

Eyecatch!

The rat youkai

“…and your real name is Kohaku River!”
It was touching that Natsume connected with the Tatsumi because they both grew up without ever knowing their parents. I wonder if Tama will show up in later episodes. Though I highly doubt that…
What I like about Natsume Yuujinchou is that it isn’t a story of a normal boy whose life is flipped upside down due to some tragic event. Instead its the opposite, Natsume has been alone as long as he could remember, but as evidenced from the ending monologue, he is finally in a place he is happy, a place where he has a loving family and friends. That’s why I always enjoy watching this show because it always cheers me up, even if the actual stories about youkai are often bittersweet.
Here’s a bonus picture!
