The Tiredness of Suzumiya Haruhi / Haruhi Dance?…Wii!!!

Two small news from Haruhi Suzumiya…Sankaku Complex reported that the February 2009 edition of NewType Magazine “promises” more news on Haruhi Second Season…

The February edition of Newtype promises “big news about the Suzumiya Haruhi TV anime” in the March edition. All speculation focuses on this being regarding the hugely anticipated and much belated second series.

I dont really see the point of announcing in an article that they will announce “more news” the next month and no “further” details explained…I think this stunt is to “milk” the expectations of the people and to sell more magazines in the future…something ridiculous and probably shows a lack of respect to the Haruhi fans that waited just too much time for “real” news.  The only thing naturally now is….to wait until next month and see if the wait was worth it.

In another brighter side, Kadokawa channel in YouTube released a video of the Wii version game called…Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekidou. Some blogs reported that the dance portion was cancelled so other minigames could take its place. Apparently, it was not (A wise decision considering the Wii capabilities) and people will be able to dance the Hare Hare Yukai with the Wii controllers. Check the video…

Join the SOS brigade and dance to your heart’s desire. Haruhi Suzumiya no Yuutsu the anime has made two entities famous, Haruhi’s seiyuu Hirano Aya and the girls’ dance Hare Hare Yukai. After the airing of the TV series, numerous people have learned to dance the steps to the song and demonstrated their talents in both small and large events.

To those who has trouble following the quick steps from the TV screen but is dying to learn and join the fun, this is the game for you. Follow the cues on the screen and wave your Wii-remote control accordingly. If you manage to catch the cues properly, Haruhi, in full Hirano Aya glory, will pay you compliments, and if you did badly, she will scold you.

There is a story mode and a free mode. Haruhi has read a flier on a dance competition in the story mode and is making her club go along with her. The more stages you clear in this story mode, the more costumes you can unlock, and the better you do, the rarer the items you can get. Ask two more friends to join you in the free mode and play the roles of the SOS brigade girls, see who is the best dancer amongst you.

Hope people will have a good time with this game (Available on Jan 22, 2009) while waiting for Haruhi 2! Something that We really wish it will happen soon enough. Patience is a virtue and I think Haruhi fans has lots of it…for now.
