Can someone please explain what is this new Suzumiya Haruhi stunt?

Suzumiya Haruhi producers has been able to confuse fans of the Haruhism with publicity stunts, strange viral marketing and confusing announcements that I really don´t know exactly what they are thinking. This week They announced a possible “second” season that at the end, it seems it is not that but a rerun of the series.  The series was broadcasted on 2006 and now with this new “Renewal” broadcast, Rerun or Alien conspiracy, They announced “new” staff for it.

The March issue of Kadokawa Shoten’s Newtype magazine will reveal the staff for the “renewed” broadcast of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya anime series on February 10. In the first television run in 2006, the staff was listed as:

Series Production Director: Yutaka Yamamoto
Super Director: “Haruhi Suzumiya”
Series Script Supervisors: “Haruhi Suzumiya to yukai na nakama-tachi”
Character Design/Chief Animation Director: Shoko Ikeda

For the renewed broadcast of the same series, the staff list will be as follows:

The renewed broadcast of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya will start on Teletama and other television stations in April. Kadokawa Shoten already confirmed with the J-Cast News website earlier this week that this broadcast is a rebroadcast of the first series, and not a second season.

Why a “new” staff is needed for a rerun of something that was created almost three years ago? There are MANY theories of what is happening now. Some say that this rerun is the 2006 series with improved or extended scenes, Others says that this is a rerun to refresh Otaku´s minds and gather new fans and that is the setup for the second season right after the ending of the first one.

No one knows for sure, but the only thing I see is that the producers of Suzumiya Haruhi has managed to complicate things to a simple matter. I just hope they know what they are doing…and probably, looking at their marketing tactics, They know.
