If you are a Haruhi fan, you probably know that on April 29, 2009, there will be a concert based entirely on Suzumiya Haruhi! and it is not your typical Hare Hare Yukai dance or something like that…It seems it is going to be a Classical concert featuring the Tokyo Philarmonic Orchestra!
Title: Suzumiya Haruhi no Gensou (“Haruhi Suzumiya’s String Concert”)
Performers: Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra
MC: Shiraishi Minoru, Matsumoto Megumi
Guests: Hirano Aya, Chihara Minori
Price: 7,350 – 8,400 yenSource: Haruhi.tv via Myanimelist
There was an interview on April´s Newtype with remarks by Chihara Minori about the event.
Chihara Minori – I’m also looking foward to “Gensou”“Suzumiya Haruhi no yuutsu”, the anime that we’ve all been waiting for, is finally starting! I wonder what kinds of stuff Haruhi will start this time to entertain us? April is a season where things start, so people who are looking for something interesting, please come to SOS dan! I’ll be waiting. Suzumiya Haruhi no Gensou also looks like it’s going to be really amazing.

The art of the Newtype magazine displayed is from 2006 April Newtype and the lower image is from 2009 April Newtype. I noticed a slight change in Haruhi´s design. Is it a sign from Haruhi 2? Probably not, as it reminds me of Haruhi-chan mostly.
I would love to see that concert, just for curiosity. When Chihara san mentioned it is going to be “Amazing”, what does she means? “Hare Hare Yukai” or “God knows” with a classical music style? That´s an scary thought, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt.
