Evangelion 2.0: The EVA 05 design!
Thanks to ANN and Bonkurasu Brigade, We have a sneak preview of how the EVA 05 looks like.
The June issue of World Photo Press’ Figure Oh magazine will officially confirm on Friday the designs of the Evangelion Unit-02, Unit-3, and Provisional Unit-05 (pictured at right) weapons that will appear in Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance. Kaiyodo will release action figure of all these units and the protagonist Shinji’s Evangelion Unit-01 in its Revoltech toy line on June 15. Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance will open in Japan on June 27.

In my opinion, this Eva design looks really odd. I can bet it will do all kind of stunts in the movie like flying to the moon, jumping, doing acrobatics, etc. As Bonkurasu Brigade author told, it is probably this EVA 05 is a modified version of Touji´s EVA 03 and We are pretty sure who is going to pilot it.

If we know anything about the Eva franchise is that it’s unconventional. It’s never afraid to shake things up a bit.

I was getting tired of watching always the same thing with each release of the EVA dvds (Normal, Platinum, etc.), except the director´s cut.
Good to see something new and unconventional this time. Cant wait to see EVA 2.0
