It seems the Gundam at Odaiba will face a new competitor. This time, Japan is building another real scale mecha called Tetsujin 28! The official website of “KOBE Tetsujin Project”, mentions that the 18 meter monument of Tetsujin 28-go will be completed soon and put on public viewing this August.

The project was launched in 2006 in order to commemorate the great works of mangaka Yokoyama Mitsuteru. I remembered the series when I was a kid…It was a cool series. Now, my question is…When they will build an EVA?

Very clever, Japan! Build a bunch of giant robot ‘monuments’! No one will ever know that you’re actually building up an army!!

I was thinking the exact same thing. What a devious plan…

Building EVA as the next project? Now that’s an interesting question.

I’d be more impressed if they go ahead and build all THREE EVAS as part of the whole project!

Now that’s something to look forward to, doesn’t it?
