Even Funimation's release of 1.0 is sparse, limited runs, so if you can't make one of the very few showings, you're screwed. These movies are geared to a very small part of the population (ie never a top box office money maker) so I'm thinking the film prints would be very expensive and are probably reused as it travels around the US and Canada. Also, take in the fact that even wide release films are constantly pirated with equally bad cam rips, and it just boils down to you're out of luck if you're not in Japan when these films come out.
