Torturing someone with Haruhi’s Endless Eight?!
A couple of weeks ago, I show my cousin, the first episode of Haruhi’s long awaited second season. He said it was pretty cool. After that, He was so busy that I couldn’t show him Endless Eight at this moment. He does not know the horrible torture everyone else is suffering…yet!

I talked with him and said…
“Hey, if you have time this weekend, would you like to see the new episodes…yeah, the ones after Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody….But let me warn you, there is something strange with this new arc.”
“Sure” he said…it should be fun…Haruhi is strange anyway!
“He has no idea!” I thought!
Well, here is my problem…What should I do…I have four options now:
- Show all the episodes that were broadcasted up to date…(Remember, We still have to wait for the final episode)
- Wait until Kyon solve the problem that could take more weeks and then show ALL the episodes.
- Wait until Kyon solve the problem and show only the first, second and then, the final episode, skipping all the rest.
- Show him nothing at all and skip Endless Eight.
He is an Haruhi fan, but He has no idea what’s going on. It should be fun to torture him with point 1 and 2…or be a good cousin and just do point 3 and 4! Tough decision indeed…What would you do?

option 3 sounds the most reasonable.
there is no new information in the 3rd+4th episodes. (and if he wants to see Haruhi’s and Mikuru’s bathing suits, Yukatas etc. just give him screenshots.
Show him all if you feel like torturing him.

I’d rather do option 1 or 2, time permitting, because watching a lot of the same episodes in one sitting is infinitely more bearable than the torture of seeing one per week and not knowing when it will end. It’s the waiting that kills you.
If you really don’t think he’ll take to repeat episodes, I’ll echo Baka-Raptor and say it should go like this:
1) Daily happy fun time episode
2) Realization episode
3) Clue episode
4) Conclusion episode
That makes Endless Eight 1, 2, and 4 necessary, plus the yet-to-be-shown wrap-up episode.

Show him the first three then ask if he wants to watch all the episodes or just skip the last episode. I personally liked watching all the episodes and was not tortured by it.
