Tetsujin 28 Mecha Head unveiled!

50 tons, 16.5 meters and 100,000,000 yens! That´s the numbers for the upcoming Tetsujin 28 statue that will amaze people at Kobe and all Japan. Here are some photos for the ceremony where they unveiled the giant head for the statue. The head measures around 2.5 meters high and weighs almost a ton!

The KOBE Tetsujin Project costs around 100,000,000 yens (1,050,325.33 US Dollars) but 40 million yen came from KOBE Grants while the rest came from individuals and corporate donations. The amazing statue should be ready by the end of September and the opening ceremony will take place on October 4th!

    Wow! Pretty exciting!
    So Japan’s ready for another giant mecha show with pretty fireworks on display!
    Mitsuteru Yokohama(Tetsujin creator) would be proud to see this, if he’s still alive and well.
