Please credit THAT image!

Just surfing the web, I found this interesting post about the use of fanart images on Anime Blogs…or not using them at all.  There is quite a discussion everywhere. The main point is that many anime blogs take fanarts drawn by others as visual openers for posts.  Many of the images are taken from image boards that many already know like 4chan, danbooru, etc.

Due to lack of material, many anime bloggers take fanart images from the boards and post them because let´s face it…an image speaks more than a thousand words. The responsible thing to do is credit the author and link to the author´s website.

We try our best to credit the author and/or give a link to their website but sometimes there are images that have no name or author signature, or even a link.  I am writing this post to call some attention to our readers.  If you see ANY image without a link or credit in this blog, please let us know.

If any author think this blog is violating their fanart image rights, please let know and We will remove it immediately or give us permission to use it and We will give credit as well.

Personally, I never thought there is an organization defending fanart. Thanks to Mistakes of Youth blog for pointing that out.

As a final note, I want to apologize if this blog used any fanart image that wasnt credited.  Feel free to contact us or comment in any post that is using your image. Your feedback is important and the key for this to work is communication.
