Fate / Stay Night Movie: Unlimited Blade, works for Me!

When I heard that Fate / Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works is going to the BIG screen (I am not talking about HDTV 104″ inches television) I felt a great joy!

The visual novel is probably one of the best ever written and sure the anime was great.  However many people complained that it is better to produce a movie based on Heaven´s feel rather than Unlimited Blade Works. I won´t discuss which of the scenarios are the best because overall, I like the franchise as a whole. Basically, this movie is raising a lot of expectations because Fate / Stay Night is a great series and have lots of fans. In my humble opinion, even when the Anime series delivered and had some bits of UBW and HF, the ending for the anime series was less than satisfying and I am really expecting an EPIC treatment for the movie.

The following list that you are going to read are the things I want to see. If you don´t want to get spoiled too much, please don’t go beyond this lines or read the UBW entry in Wikipedia

• The same cast of the Anime series is back for the movie. I really loved the seiyuus acting on the series and watching them reenact their roles is like a family reunion.
• The fights in the Anime series were O.K. but because the movie has a larger budget,  We want….EPIC FIGHTS!

• In UBW, Shiro and Rin develops feelings to each other and Rin displays her Tsundere qualities more openly…(Nothing personal Saber…really)
• Archer is back in a cool way and Shiro will face his alter ego…I really like Time Paradoxes!
• Near the end Archer finally shows a genuine smile that Shiro also possesses…Did I mentioned I like “Time Paradoxes”
• There are TWO endings for this route and I like the way it ends…any of the endings works for Me!…Not like the Fate route in the Anime version! (Again, nothing personal Saber!)

This are only some of the things I want to see in the movie and I am really excited to watch this…someday! The only thing that worries a lots of fans is that UBW is a little bit too large for a movie and probably…just probably, some details will be skipped. I just hope the producers do a great job adapting the UBW route for the movie because two things may happen…Fail miserably shutting the doors to a Heaven’s Feel or Ataraxia second movie or Prequel…or create THE most amazing movie ever made for Fate / Stay Night!

The movie is scheduled for a January 2010 release…Meanwhile, I think I will play the UBW route NOW!
