Sayonara Akibablog, The English Version!

It seems, for unknown reasons, that the creators of famous AkibaBlog will close their english version site. It is a pity because it was a great place for non-japanese readers who enjoyed daily their news.

Since we established AkibaBlog English Ver. in 2008, we have sent Akiba’s hot news to the whole world. But sadly, AkibaBlog English Ver. will be suspended by the end of August. We are very sorry for you who have been looking forward to reading our blog.

Japanese version of AkibaBlog continues to report what’s going on in Akiba; we are more than happy if you continue to check Japanese version up.

English version of AkibaBlog will be suspended, but please, keep in touch with Akiba and Japan!

I am not THAT surprised for the decision because I can imagine how effort it takes to translate the content from japanese to english. It happened with Cartoon Leap. I was translating the content for English and Español…but it was really time consuming to do it that I had to leave the Spanish project. I hope someday I can retake the task or find someone that can help me because I speak and love spanish…a lot! Besides, my english is not perfect and full of errors…

Of course, people can still visit the japanese version of Akibablog but it will take a little bit more effort to read it…Sayonara en.akibablog…You will be greatly missed!
