FAKE GSC Saber Lily figures…Beware fans!!
Good Smile Company released a warning about Fake Saber Lily figures flooding the market. If you like to use auction sites or buy your japanese stuff in places unknown to the Otaku, beware, because you could be buying something with less quality and appeal you can expect from an original product.

To save you some money and frustration, here are some tips from the original masters of this lovely creation, Saber Lily…

The original box has all GSC Logos and “seal of quality” while the FAKE does not have them.

Original box has the hologram sticker, the other not!

The quality of the print is superior to the fake one!…Look at the vivid colors too!

The pin on Saber´s hand is clear while the fake one is black…you can see “clearly” the difference!

Look for Saber´s face and the angle. You can clearly see her eyes and face while the fake one has her face down…on shame!

Finally, the original figure has the logo on the base while the fake….not!
This was a social service from Good Smile Company via Akibatan. Hope you enjoy your genuine Saber Lily because We know some that are not careful will not enjoy the fake one! I am expecting mine soon and I am sure there will be no problems related with this because I know my sellers!
Game Over for TGS and the industry?!
The Tokyo Game Show 2009 is over and it seems the event failed to impress, according to some estimates on attendance…

Blame swine flu fears or the fact that the show was scheduled on the tail-end of the “silver week” holidays, but attendance was down on Saturday, the first public day: 62,138 visitors compared to 71,639 in 2008.

and some disastrous comments by key players of the industry….
Once upon a time, the Tokyo Game Show was the biggest videogames event on the planet, a throbbing hive of amazing announcements, bustling demo pods and saucy cos-players. This year’s event has warranted only a handful of cursory mentions in the Western games press. “Man, Japan is over. We’re done. Our game industry is finished,” veteran Capcom game designer Keiji Inafune is quoted as saying on the show floor. A bleak prognosis, but sadly not an unreasonably alarmist one – Hideo Kojima made similar points at the start of the year.

Even with this “Apocalyptic” facts, people enjoyed the Tokyo Game Show and They tried some of the best games that will going to hit shelves soon. Sure the gaming industry has their ups and downs and 2009 was not the best year for them, but with some interesting game titles on their way, new game consoles, price cuts for our benefit and Japan´s contribution, the game can always continue.
2channel and other sites teach Shoplifting!
It seems 2ch is at the eye of the storm…again. This time, the famous bulletin board was linked with Shoplifting techniques!

A nationwide rise in the number of shoplifting cases has been linked to an increase in the number of postings on Internet forums that teach people how to steal from shops and businesses without being caught.
According to a senior Metropolitan Police Department official, during the past few years, an increasing number of postings detailing how to shoplift without being detected have been posted on various sites, including the 2channel online bulletin board. Many entries have been found on the 2channel site that seem to encourage theft, including postings such as “Shoplifting is a sport,” and “It’s easy to shoplift 100 comics.”
The MPD said it believes some youths have begun shoplifting after reading the posts on Web sites such as 2channel and coming to believe that shoplifting is easy. It plans to investigate the prevalence and effect of the online postings advocating shoplifting, in the belief they promote it, MPD officials said.
According to National Police Agency statistics, 52,975 people were caught for shoplifting in the first half of this year, a 4 percent increase over the same period last year.
As of July 31, the number of people charged with shoplifting in Tokyo had risen 17 percent over the same period last year.
The results of an MPD survey released last month revealed that about 30 percent of youths caught said shoplifting feels like playing a game, indicating a lack of guilt or contrition.
The MPD plans to carry out various measures, including requesting the administrators of the sites on which shoplifting tips appear to delete the entries in question.
The Web postings include entries such as “If you want to shoplift books, X shop would be good” and “As images captured on surveillance cameras are checked every day, don’t go to a shop where you [shoplifted] before.”
Together with the probe of the situation, the MPD said it wants to send a wake-up call to Internet service providers and site administrators, including requesting Web masters to delete malicious postings.
Meanwhile, in response to the rising number of shoplifting cases, the MPD said in mid-September it would put forward specific initiatives under an action plan to prevent shoplifting, including conducting moral education classes in schools.
