ITmedia reports that the disassembly of the 18 meter life-size Gundam statue has just started. During the 40 awesome days the statue was there, 4.15 million people visited the park. The GREEN tokyo Gundam Project secretariat still have to decide what They are going to do with Gundam or where They will store it.

Let´s hope We can see Gundam again. Meanwhile, We can enjoy another mecha shortly! I really wonder what They are going to do with it…Personally, It should stay there so more visitors…including, someday, Me…can watch it… :-P

Don’t worry, they’re just shipping it away into the White Base for a while.

Ebay it, I would buy it, if I had somewhere to put it.

Ahh so they are taking it down now, true to their words. I am glad I was there to see it with my own eyes, was an awesome experience.

    GUTTED!

I had hoped it would stay longer. It was an amazing sight to behold, but alas.

I’m glad I was able to visit. Someday far in the future, I will regail my grandchildren with tales of it’s glory.. and they’ll say ‘That’s nice’ as they leave for pilot school on their hoverbikes :/
