Evangelion 2.0: Life Size Shikinami Asuka Langley Figure!
Akiyamakobo Store is selling Life Size Shikinami Asuka Langley figures.
The figure, produced under the direction of Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, is of Asuka Langley as she appears in the film Evangelion 2.0: You Can (Not) Advance, now playing in Japan. Asuka’s surname, Soryu, has been changed to Shikinami. Her plug suit has also been modified somewhat, and these changes are reflected by the life-size figure.
Akiyamakobo has also produced human-sized Evangelion Unit 01 and life-size Rei Ayanami figures. A company publicist said, “Asuka’s mold was harder to do than Rei Ayanami’s, so it was quite a big step to produce it.” He added, “For example, Asuka’s hair is longer than Ayanami’s, so it takes up considerably more space as a life-size figure. Also, it was hard with this 2-D anime character to make a mold that reproduces the area from the cheeks to the ears, which you can see because of her hairstyle.”
The figure stands 160 centimeters tall and is priced at 430,000 yen (build to order)

Hmm, I don’t know what to think. The face for Asuka looks odd if you compare it with Rei, and for 4,739.07 USD Dollars, They could improved that a little bit more…But!…If I had that amount of money “to burn”, I will not hesitate too much.
