Women can keep a secret…for only 47 hours?!
Wonder how long women can keep a secret? Well, there is an study that tells They can keep a secret but only for a limited time.

Researchers found women typically spill the beans to someone else in 47 hours and 15 minutes.
A study of 3000 women, aged between 18 and 65 years, also found four in 10 were unable to keep a secret, no matter how personal or confidential. Depending on who the gossip is about, their boyfriend, husband, best friend or mother are most likely to be the initial recipients of the information.
Six in 10 end up telling someone completely uninvolved so the person the secret belongs to will not find out.
The study found women hear three nuggets of gossip a week but end up passing it on to at least one other person.
Nearly half tell all just for the weight to be lifted from their shoulders. Two thirds, however, then end up feeling guilty about doing so.
Three quarters say they are capable of keeping a secret and 83 per cent consider themselves 100 per cent trustworthy within each particular friendship group.
Yet, four in 10 admit to gossiping to a close friend from another friendship group.
More than four in 10 think it is acceptable to share a friend’s secret with someone who does not know them, with 40 per cent saying their husband is their ultimate confidant. Intimate issues, the true cost of purchases and affairs came top of the secret-keeping list, with women most likely to share a secret chatting face-to-face, on the phone or by text message.
Fortunately, 27 per cent said they forgot what they were told the following day.
