If you wonder how many McDonalds restaurants there are across the world, here is a good look in this map.

Japan have the honor of having more McDonalds than any other country, only surpassed by the U.S.A.

Here are some other interesting statistics…

And what about price? You’d find yourself paying a huge US$7.18 for a burger in Norway, compared to only US$3.57 in the US.

And where can would you find the world’s busiest McDonald’s? That would be the one located on the famous Pushkin Square in Moscow, where you would find yourself greeted with seats for 700 customers.

At least, it is good to know that Japan have one of the lowest rates for Heart Disease problems in the world.

I’d actually be curious as to what the 5th most expensive is now, though, as McDonald’s finally shuttered its last store in Iceland last week because it was too expensive to keep it going.

Those country dividing is so~ wrong! Indonesia has indeed McDonald in it, but Sumatra-Java-Bali-Islands in the south is NOT a different country with Borneo-Celebes-Maluku-Papua. Grr… bloddy McDonald. No way I would buy your burger anymore. I’ll just go to A&W :(

As for Japan has lowest rate of heart disease. I think it’s because japanese people dont treat burger like McDonald as primary meal. Their primary meal that they eat every day has to be rice with something, whether it’s a miso soup, or fish or what ever. Rarely meat. Meanwhile in US, McDonald IS primary meal. lol

Finally I can see the reason for the McDondald’s bankrupt in Iceland: very expensive hamburgers. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Iceland-says-goodbye-to-the-apf-2609404079.html?x=0&.v=6

Rather than total restaurants, per population figures should be more interesting.
    one per:
    US 23,009
    Japan 35,461
    Canada 24,170
    Germany 64,310
    UK 48,890
