Akiba Grand Prix, featuring Hot girls and Virtual wheels!
Promoting a PSP game can be quite an exciting thing, especially if it is in Akihabara, with hot girls all over the place. Gran Turismo PSP was launched in Japan and for the moment, there was an exclusive event held in 5 different stores all over Akihabara. The event is called Akiba Grand Prix. Take a look at some of the pictures, courtesy of Akibablog.

Visitors and players had the chance to enjoy the game…and watching hot japanese girls…like a real Formula 1 event…How cool that can be??

Out of curiosity. Is it standard practice (in Japan) that they blur the faces of people when taking photographs of public exhibitions?

It is something called “Portrait Rights”…
Portrait Rights is a sort of copyright protection for an individual who’s portrait has been photographed without his permission.
This means that if you post a picture of Aya Hirano without her permission on your blog – her office can then sue you.

I’d say that this ‘Portrait Right’ is something that gets carried a bit to far imho …. which is not unjapanese like, but still.
