One Piece New OP song rejected by fans!
It seems there was a miscalculation for the new One Piece Opening song….and many fans dislike the idea that this new OP will be played at least for a whole year!
According to J-Cast, the official BBS of Toei Animation has been filled with hundreds of complaints against the new OP theme song of “One Piece”. The audience resented that the new song was completely mismatched with the serious OP animation.
The new OP song “Kaze wo Sagashite” is a tie-up work with a TV quiz program “Quiz! Hexagon II” and the singers are idols and comedians. Toei Animation said it’s usual to see such negative reactions when theme songs are switched. They don’t plan to make any explanations to the audience and the new song is likely to be used for the next one year.

I am not a One Piece fan but it seems the song makes the show sounds like a “children series” and I am sure it is not like that.

I think the first half of the OP (up to a minute and a half) go pretty well with the song. But I can see how the serious images after that do not. But I personally think the song is cute and catchy (kinda reminds me of my favorite One Piece OP, “Kokoro no Chizu”). After time, most people will probably get used to it.

I can see now the reason why they want to broadcast this for a year…

I quite like it, seen far worse songs. However its too soft for a One Piece op, it would make an ideal ed but then Once piece doesnt have Ed’s.

I agree with Yumeka, the begining of the song is ok and all happy go lucky. The part of the song where they go whoo whoo whoo YAY! doesnt match at all. Usually I’m excited to see the OP but this is the first time I’ve disliked a One Piece OP.

I like the song, but at least the closing Luffy scream is like wtf against the music.
