Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi Newtype article!

We brought some nice sketches and now, Newtype published for what it seems the official look of the SOS Dan for the upcoming Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi Movie. There will be plenty of coverage from different Animation Magazines from now on so Haruhists can remain calm!
My first impresions are:
- Kyon looks pretty cool…with that determination look in his eyes, to figure out what is going on.
- Long Hair Haruhi…enuff said…
- Yuki has this cute look on her face…nice!
- Mikuru chan looks pretty worrysome…like always…
- Itsuki looks like He can kick butt
- NO K-ON-NIZATION this time…Thank Goodness!
Another curious note is that if you found this image familiar, you probably saw this fan made poster…spooky!!
We will have to wait a little bit longer for a trailer…There is a good clue provided by fellow commenter Ultimatemegax…
I think they’re waiting until next Friday JST in order to release a trailer to correspond with the December 18th date in the novel. I’d keep an eye around 4:53 AM 12/18/2009 JST for something big to happen.
Well, it is going to be very interesting to see what will happen that day!

On 2chan, there is a poster reporting from this month’s Newtype that says the following:
「キーワードは１２月１８日
ＳＯＳ団の公式サイトでも、１２月１８日に毎年何かが起きている。
今年も注目だ。」
Key word is December 18.
Something has occurred on the official site of SOS Dan every year on December 18.
Pay attention this year.
If it’s true, then we could very well see a trailer next week at this time. Sorry to kinda take over the Haruhi news portion, but this time of year is exciting.
I saw that scan on Anime Paper yesterday…I love the new character designs ^^ You’re right, it’s doesn’t look much like the K-ON! style but it could just be that particular picture. Anyway, I’ll definitely be looking forward to December 18th. Like ultimatemegax said, something has happened on the official site for the past Dec. 18ths. Let’s hope it’s a nice, juicy trailer!
ummm, excuse me…. but what’s that something that happened last year on Dec 18…?
