There are many projects that are going to be animated very soon. However, there are some other manga and light novels waiting to be animated. Oricon did a survey among the Anime Industry experts to see who will be next.  Here are the results of the survey.

Oricon Biz collected questionnaires from people in the anime industry about manga and light novels which they anticipate to be animated. The respondents are working for anime magazines, music labels, TV companies, and anime journalism.

Top: Saint Young Men
Nakamura Hikaru’s comedy manga. The humane conversation between Buddha and Jesus Christ catches great popularity. However, its anime will encounter controversy about religious issues. Such concerns raise the expectation even more.

Second: Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai
Fushimi Tsukasa and Kanzaki Hiro’s light novel. Considering the popularity of the novel and having a professional animator Kanzaki in the staff, its anime adaptation will be a big hit.

Third: Chihayafuru
Suetsugu Yuki’s manga on Sports Karuta. Numbers of the respondents said it will be animated anytime soon.

Other notable titles:
3 Gatsu no Lion
Umino Chika can appeal to wide range of audience.

Pluto
Yotsuba&!

Both of the titles have long been in the list of the anticipated titles. However, it’s extremely difficult to animate the two because of the authors’ particular thoughts on the manga.

Medaka Box
The great hit of Bakemonogatari also brought attentions to Nishio Ishin’s manga.

Do you have any personal favorite among this titles, or do you have any other? They say the animation industry bubble exploded and We will see less adaptations. They better do a good choice this time.

I want Gantz to be re-animated, this time with the whole manga, and no bullshit end like in the first animated series.

    That is what I want.

Saint Young Men is awesome and fun, despite the controversy it can generate. Though, I think it is not so scandalous as some people think.
