Listen to the sweet oblivion that is Minori Chihara

Lantis, the kind souls who uploaded last week’s PV for the OST of The Vanishment of Haruhi Suzumiya, has given another gift to the Haruhi fandom: the PV for the theme song from the movie, Sweet Oblivion. Since Haruhi has vanished, they had to get Miniori Chihara to sing the theme song, and what a wonderful performance she gave. First, take a look for yourself:

I truly felt Yuki’s emotions in this song. Minori-san truly captured the complexity that is Yuki Nagato in her vocals. It really felt like the character was singing the song instead of Minori, and since the vocals were written by Tanigawa-san it was in character as well. For those who haven’t read Vanishment, this is a good glimpse at the new character of Yuki in my opinion. Here is the cover art, as released by Lantis today as well:

    Yep. Totally agree on the fact that Minorin totally brings out her inner Yuki in this song. :D Definitely preordering.
