Official Queen`s Blade Promotional Poster

Straight from Megami Magazine 104, lies this cool poster art from Queen`s Blade TV!…It is just great.

I think I covered a lot of Queen`s Blade. The only thing remaining is to wait for the series premiere next year. Exciting isnt it?

Wallpaper: Ayanami Rei and a Kimono!

Neon Genesis Evangelion´s Ayanami Rei is one name an anime fan can recognize easily. She is one favorite girl for otakus and probably many of them has her on their desktops as a wallpaper…I am one of them. I was looking for an anime scan of Ayanami Rei and found this one. She just looks cute on this image!

At the white space there was a rainy background which explains why Ayanami looks wet.

I was thinking, what I could do with that space so I looked all over the internet, well most of it and found a great image of Tokyo-3 but it was relatively small but usable. because I didnt need it to cover all the wallpaper, just an small section of it.

The next step was to find another image that could suit Ayanami Rei. She was not going to “float” on that city, so I saw the original scan of Rei and thought…hmm, a tree is behind her, I need a forest….

Guess what? I found one. Anime Cels and especially backgrounds are very useful for wallpapers. This background was used in an anime series, can´t remember what series it is, but anyway, I thought…this looks neat…lets do a composite of the three images.

I removed the mountains behind the trees so I could insert the tokyo-3 image behind it instead. Since the space was small, I didnt need the city scan too big and it was a lucky shot because the city fit in that space well.

There is no need to insert anything else at the right side of the image because I inserted Ayanami Rei at that side. After that step, I just inserted the text. By the way, if you like this wallpaper, you can click the image below to download it. It is a 1600 x 200 resolution wallie.

As you remember, in the past lesson, I stated that it is better to keep the wallpaper simple…but you can still do some stuff to it like adding sparkles or something.  Everyone has their own taste.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial about how I did this wallpaper. Expect many more in the future. I am enjoying Ayanami Rei wallpaper at my desktop…and you?
