School Rumble Z is finally waking up!

I am getting interested in School Rumble Z.  Episode 2 was more entertaining, but in episode 3, things get better!  Harima Kenji is having nightmares about his future as a manga writer. First he cant sell mangas, lives as a poor guy and suddenly wakes up. After waking up, he is visited by no other than the GOD OF MANGA himself. He gives advice to Harima. “Keep it close to your heart” he says….and then he wakes up again. At the end of the episode, at least Tenma chan makes her first appearance, at least her voice.

In my last post about School Rumble Z, I said I was going to stop reading it, but guess I was hoping to see more developments and after all, I like School Rumble. Finally it is making some sense (if I can call it like that, it is manga after all). I was getting tired of the first pages but it seems there is a comeback to the real world, the real school rumble We love and probably some people hate (because of the inconclusive end before this). Perhaps the God of Manga is visiting Kobayashi Jin and is giving him some advice…He really needs some now.

Kobayashi Jin Tezuka Osamu

I will continue reading to see more developments, but I think it is starting on the right foot for now. The only thing fans wants is real development and plot soon! If you want to read the whole story, just look for the usual suspects.

I remember some years ago when School Rumble anime was out. It was hilarious, fresh,  and exciting because of the love relationships and misunderstandings.  After waiting years for the third semester (season) of SR, finally, they released the OVA (25 & 26) and guess what?

Chapter 283 of School Rumble arrived and We thought it was the end…Well, apparently, it is not because it is confirmed that SCHOOL RUMBLE Z will appear on August 20th in the Magazine Special. You can see the scan of the magazine where School Rumble is published.

We dont know how many chapters will be published, or is it only a one shot episode. It will be 16 pages long apparently. Time will tell…It is sort of bittersweet, because the alledgedly last episode was pretty bad, but then, We will see more of SR. Hope they wrap things up and hope We dont see a SCHOOL RUMBLE GT.

I support ERI or YAKUMO if you ask me by the way. The OVA was horrible as well. There were funny parts but the lame thing is that they skipped many manga volumes and go straight to the last ones. The animation was so and so and they even placed the first season OP and ED songs with some new scenes only.

Save the earth!…RECYCLE the OP and ED!

I just hope the rest of the OVA wrap things up because SR fans deserve more than this.

At Anime Expo 2008, on Saturday, Dark Horse Panel announced that they will publish the english version of the Shinji Ikari Raising Project Manga. You can read the news from ANN as well. I will quote the news…

At its Anime Expo panel on Saturday, the North American publisher Dark Horse Comics has announced that it has acquired Shin Seiki Evangelion: Ikari Shinji Ikusei Keikaku (Neon Genesis Evangelion: The Shinji Ikari Raising Project), Osamu Takahashi’s manga based on an Evangelion game spinoff. The game has the player “raising” Shinji Ikari, the main character of the Evangelion science-fiction franchise, and determining what path his life will take. (Before Evangelion, Gainax developed the Princess Maker franchise in which the player raises a girl to adulthood.) The manga version adapts the game storyline, particularly its school sequences. The manga has been running in Kadokawa Shoten’s Monthly Shonen Ace magazine — the same magazine that serializes Yoshiyuki Sadamoto’s main Evangelion manga — since June of 2005, and five compiled volumes have been published in Japan. Dark Horse will start the manga in late spring or early summer of 2009.

so basically, that means another Eva manga will hit the english speaking community and thats good news. I like the EVA manga and their spinoffs as well, and Angelic Days was cool also. We will see great scenes like the ones below and it will be very interesting to see Shinji`s harem in action….and believe me, there are LOTS of fanservice here too. Drawings are very good and I like the story and interaction of the characters here….This manga cant get here pretty fast…
