Evangelion 2.22 beats Michael Jackson!
It seems the King of Pop was beaten by Evangelion…in a sort of way.
The amazon.co.jp retail website has announced on Monday that it received 88,000 pre-orders for the Evangelion: 2.22 You Can (Not) Advance (Evangelion Shin Gekijōban: Ha) film on Blu-ray and DVD within a week of February 8, the day it started accepting orders. 40,000 of those pre-orders came on the first day alone — topping the 30,000 that Michael Jackson’s This Is It film received on its first day of pre-orders. The film will not ship until May 26.
The only problem seems to be that there are no english subtitles, but the goodies alone may convince me to buy it…unless I get some stupid film strip with no Asuka, Mari or Rei in it…Do you plan to get it?
Evangelion: Katsuragi Misato figure wearing a plugsuit!
E2046 latest newsletter have some interesting information regarding one of their newest figures. Usually I don’t read their newsletters, but the title grabbed my attention. It said…Misato in a plugsuit…I thought…What??…After some clicks, I saw that indeed…They made a figure of Evangelion’s Katsuragi Misato wearing a plugsuit.
I find this figure sexy, but if you are a Misato fan, I think you will pass on this one because honestly, She looks very different from the Misato We know…and if you feel curious about her plugsuit castoffability…She has that option.
I like her back side…don’t know exactly why…

Evangelion 2.0 DVD: How far They will go?
Finally, We have word from Evangelion producers, about the release of the second movie on DVD. According to magazine Rockin’On’s Cut magazine, co-director Kazuya Tsurumaki is working on retakes for the DVD release and it is schedule for next spring.
Well, We have learn some lessons from past experiences about this before…There was Evangelion 1.0, then 1.01…and finally 1.11! If our calculations are correct, it is going to happen again 2.0, 2.01 and of course 2.11! I still wonder how far They will go with those retakes…I am very curious about it!
…and God help us, if they release a film strip with Asuka or Mari featured in it! I am still thinking about buying that BD player so I can buy BD instead of DVD.

Asuka on JLPT1: Anta Baka?!
When I read the news, at first, I couldnt believe it…but yeah, JLPT Level 1 featured an interesting case with some Evangelion flavor in it! Apparently, many people who took the test were surprised by the bizarre situation…Just listen carefully and check out the translation…
Man 1: Captain, our second line of defences have been penetrated! The monster is heading straight for the Central Command Centre.
Man 2: At this rate, we won’t even last 30 minutes.
Captain: Which Model Fighters can be deployed right now?
Man 1: Just Unit 00.
Captain: Looks like we have no choice but to deplot Unit 04 as well.
Man 2: Testing for Unit 04 is still not completed yet. Besides, we don’t have anyone capable of piloting it.

I was really hoping to hear Asuka’s original seiyuu Yuko Miyamura, but guess I was hoping too much…Still, it is fun to hear this anyway!
